Description

Grandma T's homemade chicken noodle soup is known to have healing properties. Any ailment can be cured with one bowl of this miracle soup.

Steps

  1. Put chicken breasts in a dutch oven covered with water (I use an 4qt).
  2. Add bullion cubes and a little finely chopped onion.
  3. Generously sprinkle in water Mrs. Dash Seasoning Salt, Lawry's, and pepper.
  4. Bring water to a simmer and cook approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until chicken is very tender.
  5. Set chicken aside out of broth. Add celery, carrots, and onions along with fresh or dried basil, parsley and thyme. Just sprinkle lightly on top of vegetables. If using frozen noodles, add 1 12oz. package at this time.
  6. While waiting for chicken to cook, chop celery, carrots, and onion.
  7. Cook for about 20 minutes or until vegetables and noodles are tender.
  8. Break up the chicken breasts and add to the vegetable mixture. Add additional chicken broth if more liquid is needed. Taste for seasoning and add more Mrs. Dash, Lawry's, and pepper if needed.
